1. About Us

Safety Publishing supplies printed training manuals and educational materials, including first aid, health and safety, and workplace training publications.

These terms apply to purchases made through our website. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

2. Placing an Order

By placing an order, you confirm that the information provided is accurate and that you are authorised to make the purchase.

After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation email.

An order confirmation acknowledges receipt of your order but does not necessarily constitute acceptance. A contract is formed when we confirm acceptance or dispatch the goods, whichever occurs first.

We reserve the right to decline an order where products are unavailable, payment cannot be authorised or an obvious pricing error has occurred. Any payment collected for an order we cannot fulfil will be refunded.

3. Prices and Payment

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP).

Delivery charges are calculated at checkout and shown before payment.

Safety Publishing is not currently VAT registered, so VAT is not added to our prices.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available at checkout.

4. Product Information

We aim to ensure that product descriptions, images, specifications and edition details are accurate.

Minor variations in printed colours or finishes may occur due to printing processes and screen settings.

Customers are responsible for selecting the appropriate publication and edition for their training requirements.

5. Personalised Training Manuals

We offer selected publications with personalised covers incorporating customer-supplied logos, business details or other branding.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all supplied information is accurate and that they have permission to use any logos, images or other materials provided.

By supplying artwork, you confirm that you have the necessary rights or permissions for its reproduction.

Where a cover proof is provided for approval, production may begin once approval has been received.

We are not responsible for errors in customer-supplied information that have been reproduced accurately in accordance with an approved proof.

This does not affect your statutory rights where goods are faulty, incorrectly supplied or not as described.

All personalised training manuals require payment in full before production begins.

Orders will not be sent to print until full payment has been received and, where applicable, the personalised cover artwork has been approved.

Any agreed production or delivery times will commence once payment and artwork approval have been received.

6. Delivery

Delivery charges and estimated delivery times are explained in our Shipping & Delivery Policy.

We aim to dispatch eligible orders promptly, subject to stock availability and production requirements.

Personalised and larger-volume orders may require additional preparation or production time.

For consumer purchases, statutory delivery rights continue to apply.

7. Cancellations, Returns and Refunds

Consumer cancellation rights and our returns procedures are explained in our Returns, Refunds & Cancellations Policy.

The statutory change-of-mind cancellation right does not normally apply to goods made to a customer's specifications or clearly personalised.

Business purchases are not covered by the statutory consumer cooling-off period. Returns of correctly supplied business orders require our agreement.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits statutory rights relating to faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the text, artwork, designs and other content published by Safety Publishing are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Purchasing a printed manual does not transfer copyright or grant permission to reproduce, scan, distribute or commercially republish its contents.

Customer-owned logos and branding remain the property of their respective owners.

9. Limitation of Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

For business customers, subject to applicable law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential commercial losses arising from the purchase or use of our products.

Nothing in these terms limits consumers' statutory rights or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Privacy

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Customer information is used to process orders, arrange deliveries, provide customer support and meet applicable legal obligations.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time.

The terms applicable to an order are those in effect when the order is placed.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections applicable to customers elsewhere in the United Kingdom.
